On March 16th the Urban Studies and Planning Department at UCSD put on their annual 2017 Urban Expo. This Expo not only highlighted senior student's research projects, part of their capstone field research requirement for a BA in Urban Studies and Planning, but also how the Urban Studies and Communication department at UCSD is linked very closely with the Superfund Research Center research translation and community engagement cores. The students' senior research covers a broad range of subjects including Community and Economic Development; Environment; Housing; Public Health, Safety and Welfare; Transportation Planning; Urban and Regional Planning; Food Systems, and US-Mexico Border Planning.
